I've got Homework!

A little change of circumstances, as of 1st August, I will be going freelance! I'm still going to be working for the publishers I currently work for, but hopefully I can take on a few extra projects. Am really looking forward to it, I think it will be good for me, and chill me out a little, though we are coming up to our busiest time! If anyone out there has any projects they may want me to look at do get in touch.

I also joined Linkedin a few days ago, am just getting to grips with it at the moment. My network is small but hopefully will soon grow! Joined a fantastic group on there called Designer's Talk. Is really handy access to other designers, when you have a bazaar question! Is great info for going freelance too, would highly recommend it.

Am designing a little menu too for a local coffee house. It's my favourite one around, and their spiced chai is amazing!

If only I could find a little time to update my site... !

Whoops! Another year gone!

Whoops! I didn't do very well at it last year, but it's now my new year's resolution to keep my blog up-to-date! I had a very busy 2009, which included winning 'Young Packaging Professional 2009'. I attended the award ceremony at Birmingham NEC back in September, was a great night and met some really interesting people! I will post pictures on here soon. I also started a new job at a publishers and am now working on a variety of magazines. I'm hoping to update my website soon to with some more recent work as it's looking quite old now!

My Website...

I've been on a bit of a mission this weekend - I've finally got round to updating my website! Well sort of - the portfolio page is halfway there. Still have lots more work to add. I've condensed it down so all my work is on one portfolio page. Think it will be easier to look around and for me to maintain! I've also put a link on there to my blog. Now I must make sure I keep everything up to date, keep doodling and keep blogging!

Blogging at last!

Welcome to my blog! This is my first post and is a bit of a test really as I have never used blogspot before. I've been thinking about setting one up for ages as I already have my own website which I never seem to get round to updating!

I am a graphic designer from Southern England and am hoping to use it to show my latest projects, illustration, websites and designs. Hopefully will get a bit of feedback too. Right well I'll get to work on it and hopefully there will be another post on here fairly soon... fingers crossed!
